"Sonder" Centurion 2,000+ -piece Contemporary Mosaic

Inspired by the efforts of Water for Good and Jay's stories and photography, my artist's hand created a Centurian (100+hours) work of Art inspired by photos of 28 woman and children in their daily sojourn for water. After exhibiting in multiple gallery and exhibit locations towards a goal of raising awareness for global needs, this piece is now being offered for sale with 50% proceeds gifted to Water for Good, whose efforts and photography inspired it's creation.

With the matching-donor incentive active through the remainder of 2020, the strategic sale of this piece can hopefully raise the amount needed to provide a sustainable well for one village. Someday, we will all be accountable as to how our talents skills are used towards the furthering of initiatives that are close to the heart of God.

As each woman and child was sketched, painted, and cut, my heart asked God to translate my time and talents into prayer. Oceans, continents, and culture are not too wide of gaps to bridge when God can carry prayer on the wings of the Holy Spirit.

The image of each life was sketched and blade-cut in an original contemporary technique comprised of 2,000+ pieces of aligned potter's-wheel spun mosaic. The artwork is created on an 30" x 60" Ampersand Hardwood panel and rests in a horizontal orientation (think a little smaller than an average door).

With a 2.25" cradled depth, the presentation is "gallery-ready", edged in gray, framing unneeded, and ready to mount as an aesthetically rich interior feature or a statement and conversational piece for public viewing or commercial space. This artwork won a 1st place award with the Honeywell Center of the Arts (Wabash, IN) juried exhibit and was the #1 selection piece displayed at the Interphase Interiors Gallery Artprize International Exhibition.

$3,600. 1,500.00 donated to Water for Good + 100% match= 3,000 = 1 well and clean water for 300 people!
